Den kolde vintertid har helt klart efterladt sine spor på min hud. Jeg har meget sart hud, som derfor nemt bliver påvirket af vind og vejr. En ting, som gør underværker for mig, er nemlig at skifte body lotion ud med en god olie. Min favorit er mandelolie, idet jeg synes at den gør huden silkeblød, og så er den ikke tilsat en masse kunstige kemikalier. Et plus er jo, at den lindrer kløen på min voksende mave, samtidig som den fungerer perfekt som massageolie.

Et lille tip til påføring: Påfør på våd hud, før du tørrer dig efter et bad. Dup derefter forsigtigt huden tør. På denne måde slipper du for at føle dig som en kæmpe olieklat (som man helt ærligt nemt kommer til, når man har smurt sig ind olie), og du bruger ikke nær så meget olie, som hvis du brugte det på tør hud.

English / I love to use almond oil instead of bodylotion. It really works wonders on dry and sensitive skin. A little tip: put the oil on wet skin, right after a shower. Then dry of. It will leave your skin smooth and moisturised, and not greasy at all.

Healthy christmas salad

Hi you guys! Wow time flies by – it’s almost christmas. Therefor I had an idea. I would like to share some healthy alternatives to the usual christmasy food, which is very good, but also super unhealthy. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t enjoy the christmas food, but then again, day in and day out filled with sauce, candy, cookies and alcoholic beverages does nothing good for your body – if you eat like crap you feel like crap!

This red cabbage salad is super simple, only contains few ingredients and for those of you who are always in a hurry – make it hours or even a day before serving.

Salad recipe

· 1/2 Red cabbage

· 2 Oranges

· Walnuts

 

Dressing recipe (remember to double up on dressing, if you plan to double up on salad)

· 2 tablespoons olive oil

· 1-2 teaspoons applecider vinegear 

· 1 tablespoon acacie honey

· sea salt

Chop up the salad, mix the dressing ingredients and toss everything in a bowl.

This smoothie is insane! I have to share it with you guys. It’s so tasty, easy to make and filled with vitamines – you can almost feel the instant effect it has on your body and mind (almost I said haha). This has been my go to smoothie for a while, and I find it especially efficient in stressed periods. It helps me fuel up with some extra veggies, works wonders for my skin (which has a tendency to act out when I’m stressed or off balance) and leaves me feeling full and satisfied. Need I say more? Just try it!

One serving: 2 handfull spinach • 1 banana • 1/2 avocado • juice from 1/2 lemon or lime •   fresh ginger • 1-2 tablespoons MK oil (or oil of life) • 1 teaspoon phsyllicum husk • 2 dl almond milk • ice cubes

Eat your veggies

Good morning! I know I’ve shared a similar recipe before, but the truth is, I simply can’t get enough of this yummy dish. The smoothie bowl is one of my favorite go to breakfasts and snacks , as it is very filling, healthy and a great way to up your veggie intake. IMG_5303 kopi

2 dl almond milk • 1/2 frozen banana • 1/2 avocado • 2 handful berries • 2 handful spinach (or 1 handful spinach and 1 handful kale) • 1 teaspoon phsyllicum husk • optional: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Blend all of the ingredients together and serve it with the topping of your choice.  I like to use what ever is in my fridge, such as berries, fruits, nuts or seeds. Just use your imagination. And don’t be afraid to try out “veggie” smoothies. If you have a favorite smoothie recipe, you can start by adding 1 or 2 kinds of veggies to it. I prefer spinach and kale, as I think it blends in very well, but you van also try courgette, celery, carrots, beets etc.

Homemade granola

Good morning sweeties. What better way to start a beautiful morning , then with homemade granola, strawberries and freshly brewed coffee? If there’s such a thing, please let me know. Todays breakfast was simple, healthy and easy, which is a huge plus, when you’re in a morning rush, but don’t want to miss out on a healthy breakfast before heading out. And lets be honest, a croissant or a muffin on the go, really doesn’t leave you fresh and energized.

All you need is yogurt (a38, quark, cottage cheese, plant based  – whatever you prefer), granola and berries or fruit. For a yummy homemade granola you need some nuts, oats and acacia honey. Put 2 tablespoons of honey on a medium to warm pan, and then add the nuts and oats. It only takes a few minutes, just be careful not to burn the granola. Let it cool, before putting it in a container.

tip: I used a bag of paleo bread mix (including only nuts, seeds and cranberries). I didn’t have any of the ingredients I needed to mix with the oats, and it worked very well actually.

Apricot smoothie

Hi sweeties. We arrived home safe and sound last night, after a fantastic trip to Hamburg. Oh how I love that city! But as we were home quite late, we didn’t have the energy to go grocery shopping. Therefor it was quite a challenge to prepare breakfast earlier today. But what a little research can’t fix, and breakfast was soon in the making. Boiled eggs, espresso con panna (with a dash of coconutoil) and a fresh apricot smoothie. I found the smoothie recipe on Caroline Berg Eriksens blog (here), but since I didn’t have any peaches or lemons, I just added 4 fresh apricots and 1/2 a lime, and the result was really yummy and filling.

MK oil and aronia juice

One of my absolute favorite beauty products are the MK oil and MK aronia juice. Ever since I started using it, I noticed that my skin cleared up, my energy level has been through the roof, I feel concentrated and I my immune system has gotten stronger – whats not to like about that? During the first week I could feel and see how my body was cleansing itself. I got really bad skin, which is normal during a cleanse face (just be patient, and do not start a body cleanse right before a big event), and I also had to pee all the time. After a week I felt great! I’ve always dealt with bad skin, so it was a huge plus for me, that my skin cleared up.

I start everyday with one shot (2 tablespoons oil and 2 tablespoons juice) and a glass of lemon water, and it works wonders! If you are very stressed, off balance and have bad skin, you can up the intake to twice a day – you can even put the oil on your skin as a moisturizer. The oil contains omega 3, 6 and 9, and the aronia juice is packed with antioxidants and vitamins such as A, B, C, D, E, P and K.
