Mineralpudder, mascara og blush – that’s it.

Beauty product / almond oil

mandelolie ind

English / I love to use almond oil instead of bodylotion. It really works wonders on dry and sensitive skin. A little tip: put the oil on wet skin, right after a shower. Then dry of. It will leave your skin smooth and moisturised, and not greasy at all.

LOLIPOP

IMG_4205 kopiIMG_4207 kopiAs you might have noticed, I always (as in ALWAYS) wear some sort of nail polish. I think that it makes an outfit pop, and gives an elegant and clean finish. I actually feel kind of naked without – I know, it’s weird! For many years now, Essie has been a huge favorite of mine. The colors, the easy apply and very long lasting, these are just a few of the good qualities. At the moment, I’m all about red nails, therefor the color lolipop comes in handy (hah) these days.

Do you have any favorite nail polish brand or maybe a favorite color? I’m always looking to try out new ones. Have a lovely friday!

Twisted hair

Good morning sweethearts!

I stumbled upon this picture on Pinterest (well surprise, I just love that page) and I just had to share it with you guys. It is such an easy and pretty hairdo and I believe every girl with long hair agrees with me that it is not fun (or necessary) to wash your hair every day, and this hairdo will be perfect for those days in between hair washes. Just add dry shampoo for a fresh look and to create texture. Finish of with some hair spray and you are good to go.

D I Y – Lip Exfoliatiting Scrub

IMG_2079

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a recipe for a homemade beauty product, that I found on Pinterest a few years ago – the lip exfoliating scrub. It is so good, easy to make, inexpensive and doesn’t include any chemicals. All you need is brown sugar, coconut oil or honey, vanilla extract and a small container. I like to use these cute glass containers from Søstrene Grene. It makes it look very luxurious. You can get similar at almost any hobby store.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 – 2 tablespoons of coconut oil or honey
  • 1 drop of vanilla extract

Mix all of the ingredients in a cup or a small bowl. When the sugar gets a sticky consistency it is done. You now have your own homemade lip scrub. Pour it in a small container and go on and test the product. Scrub it gently onto your lips and let it sit for about 30 seconds to a minute. Rinse it of and put on a lip balm. Remember to never overdo the exfoliation, as the lips are very sensitive. About 1 (2 tops) time a week will do the work.

This homemade lip exfoliating scrub will do perfect as a gift for a friend, your mother or anyone you know that really appreciates a good product or homemade gift. So instead of buying flowers or chocolate, maybe next time you will show up with a homemade gift in hand.
